Robert F. Almeida, age 63, of Mansfield, formerly of Somerville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn (Noyes) Almeida, to whom he was wed for the past twenty-nine years.
Born in Somerville, MA on December 12, 1956, he was a loving son of the late Richard and Frances (Davis) Almeida.
Bob grew up in Somerville, was a graduate of Somerville High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University. He had made his home in Mansfield for the past twenty-nine years and prior to retiring, had worked for many years in various positions for Financial Institutions. Over the past several years, Bob enjoyed his involvement in the restaurant business.
Spending time with his adoring family was truly the focal point of Bob’s life. Throughout the years he loved sharing his love of music with others and his hobbies included birdwatching and photography.
In addition to his beloved wife Carolyn, he is survived by his devoted children: Derek Almeida of Somerville, Jessica Almeida and her partner Joseph Botsch of Somerville, Kristen Corcoran and her husband Ryan of Hudson and Chelsea Almeida of Medford. He was the loving Papa of Grayson and Theodore Corcoran. He was the dear brother of Richard Almeida and his wife Fran of Stoughton, Paul Almeida of Virginia, Michael Almeida and his wife Cindy of Weymouth, Julie DiMinico and her husband Steven of Reading, Ellen Hartjes of Somerville, Mark Almeida and his wife Sarah of Medford and David Almeida of Somerville. He is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, November 15th from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 16th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s memory may be made to the Brigham & Women’s Hospital Newborn Intensive Care Unit, 75 Francis Street, Boston, MA 02215.
