SO sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He had an amazing sense of humor and always had us in stitches at John Hancock. Bob was an original and though I haven't seen him in well over a decade I can still hear his voice with his exaggerated accent. The world needs more Bobs and he will be greatly missed - my thoughts are with Carolyn and his family.

Mark, Julie and family, I am so terribly sorry for the loss of your brother Robert. He was always such a bright spot at the bar on the occasions he visited the Palm or Smith's when I was working. I will keep those memories and his fun smile and easy very funny personality with me. I hope you can all find peace knowing you gave him the best gift...the most loving and kind family. Dear Carolyn, Derek, Jessica, Kristen and Chelsea and the entire Almeida family: Phil and I were so lucky to get to know Bob; he was a very intelligent, kind and interesting person, with wonderful hobbies and such a fantastic sense of humor. These were difficult news to digest. We so wish we could attend the services. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers, even if we cannot physically be there. I am going to steal a line from someone else who wrote: “We need more Bobs in this world”. Such a quality person he was!

Carolyn, and the remaining Almeida family, as you are all aware, Bob is an amazing, kind, generous, humorous and sincere man. We shared many calls and recent visits over these last years in which he talked often of you all. Most were touching portraits of each of you, followed by stories worthy of an Almeida Family sitcom. His incessant humor and our often relentless jabs at one another (sorry, Jessica) really centered us both. We truly "got" one another and often had people in hysterics as we reminisced, ad-lib style, about things that only occurred in our minds. Yet, despite his always upbeat demeanor, we shared a few serious stories and sentiments that exposed our true vulnerabilities with one another. I'll always treasure our times together in whatever the capacity. His undying love for his family and grandchildren was indeed his lifeblood and is what sustained him throughout his many paths. His devotion and adoration of Carolyn always tugged at my heart. He was amazed at how wonderful she was and that she chose him to be her husband. I say that because he truly was and is a humble man who appreciated the binding in his book of life, and that was your family. We all saw it and werev envious of it. Thank you Bob for the many memories, laughs, and joy you brought to my life, I'll not forget you, my brother. Walk peacefully and with Grace on your new journey. Oh and one more thing Bob, don't forget to try the veal and to tip the waitresses...You're forever loved and missed already!
