POWDERLY, Harold J. Jr. “Joe” of West Roxbury passed away at home in the comfort of his loving family on June 12, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Barbara A. (Reddish). Devoted and loving father of Susan Sullivan and her husband Daniel of Hyde Park; Stephen “Puff” Powderly of West Roxbury; Jean Butler and her husband John of West Roxbury; Kara LeBlanc and her husband Timothy of Norwood and the late Keith Powderly. Devoted grandfather of Lauren and Stephanie Myers; Jennifer Saville, Kelly Sullivan, Shannon Landry, Keith Butler and Brianna and Jake LeBlanc. Great-grandfather of Ariana and Patrick Lee, Caitlyn Saville and Grace Weafer. Dear brother of Kent Powderly of Pocasset and Joanne Frawley of NH. He is also survived by his sister-in law Beverly Abruzese and many nieces and nephews. Joe had a long career with the City of Boston including serving as Traffic Commissioner. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus 3049, member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Dedham where he served as Governor. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral and burial will be private.
