Maria (Faillaci) Volpe of Woburn passed away on Friday, April 17 at Advinia Care of Wilmington. Born and raised in Marina Di Caronia, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Mario and Tindara (DeGeorge) Faillaci. Maria worked for many years as a seamstress, and was a proud member of the Boston Local AFL-CIO. After retirement she enjoyed sewing, knitting, and gardening. She was a passionate cook who loved to prepare feasts for family and friends. Maria was a social person. Family was most important to her and she cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Maria was the beloved wife of the late Gaetano Volpe, and the devoted mother of
Joseph Volpe, Tina Volpe and her wife Mary, and Robert Volpe and his wife Lisa. She was the loving grandmother of Viviana Volpe, Elijah Volpe, Tyler Volpe-Knock, Giancarla Volpe, Elana Bernabei, Alyssa Dykstra and Brianna Volpe. Maria was predeceased by three brothers and sisters, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
