Susan Carnes of Boston, formerly of Canton, passed away peacefully on January 1 surrounded by her family. Susan is the beloved daughter of the late William M. Carnes and Ann McCallion Carnes of Canton. Sue is the sister of Mary Keable and her husband Michael of Oakland, RI, Bill Carnes and his wife Nancy of Hopkinton, and Jack Carnes and his wife Angela of Burlington. Susan is the cherished aunt of Sean, Lauren and Matthew Carnes, Jacquelyn, Catherine and Michael Keable and Sarah and Kevin Carnes. Susan is also survived by her aunt Rosemary McCallion Cronin of Billerica and her uncle John McCallion and aunt Susan McCallion of Clifton Park NY along with many cousins. Susan enjoyed spending her summers with her family at their beach home in Manomet. A graduate of Canton High School and Northeastern University, Susan was an Oncology Business Director for Incyte Corporation for the past year. Prior to that, Susan served as a Senior Territory Business Manager for Incyte for seven years.
Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton will be on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 3 to 6 PM. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11 AM and the burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Fisher House of Boston, PO Box 230 South Walpole, MA 02071 or in memory of Ann Carnes to the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Canton Branch Scholarship Fund, care of Barbara Perreault, 2 Burns Ave, Canton MA 02021.
