Drago, Joseph A. of West Roxbury Oct. 5th, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Josephine (Agri) Drago. Loving father of Stephen and his wife Jill of Quincy, Michael of West Roxbury, Laura and her husband Doug Mason of Randolph and Elaine Hunt of West Roxbury. Devoted grandfather of Paul, Andrea, Stephen, Jessica, Emily, Joseph and the late Michael. Great-grandfather of Marcella, Paul, Shiah and Emma. Brother of the late Freddy Drago and Ann Sano. Joe was a proud Veteran of World War II and a member of the United States Marine Corp Sixth Marine Division, 22nd Battalion. Joe received a Purple Heart after being critically wounded in action in the Battle for Sugar Loaf Hill on the 20th of May 1945. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Thursday morning Oct. 11th at 10 am followed by a Funeral Mass in the Holy Name Church at 11 o'clock. Visiting hours Wednesday 4pm - 8pm. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Interment will Military Honors will take place in The Garden of Honor at the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery West Roxbury.
