Menaka Raj passed away peacefully on June 17th after a brief illness, surrounded by family. All will miss her wit, love, laugh, and adventurous spirit. She is survived by her mother, Malini Jagadish, husband, Rajeev Raj, daughter, Dr. Mamtha Raj, and many in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Banagalore, India, Menaka studied engineering before immigrating to the U.S. after marriage in 1982. She had a passion for medicine, and pursued her interest in the field, graduating from Northeastern University’s Radiology program in 1993. Menaka then worked as an MRI technologist, working at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, MA. She and her family travelled often, exploring different parts of the world. At her home in Canton, she also enjoyed the company of her German Shepherds, Millie and Zorro, reminding her of her childhood pets. May her Soul rest in peace. | |||||
