William H. Sullivan, M.D. age 84 of Canton passed away on March 31st at the Hellenic Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Auburndale he was the son of Joseph and Anna Sullivan. William graduated from Boston College High School. He went on to earn his under graduate degree from Boston College and his Medical Degree from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Sullivan was practicing Orthopedic Surgeon for over 30 years with Sullivan Orthopedics, and the former Chief of Orthopedics Cardinal Cushing Hospital. William was active with the St. Vincent DePaul Society, and Boston College Alumni Association. Beloved husband of Susan E. (White) Sullivan, Loving father of Hon. William F. Sullivan and his wife Mary Lou of Canton, Julie Beal of Walpole, and Gavin Sullivan of Foxboro. Also survived by his grandchildren: Will, Conor, Brennan, Jack and Katharine. He was predeceased by his siblings: Joseph and Jeanne (Sr. Julienne S.N.D). Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Sunday 2-6 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Monday morning at 10:30. Burial St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton. Veteran United States Army.
