Raymond L. McCormack, Jr., age 82, of Brockton, died September 11, 2011 at New England Sinai Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Mary M. (Horton) McCormack. Born in Brockton, Ray was the son of the late Raymond L. and Anna V. (Maguire) McCormack. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Ray received his accounting degree from Bentley College and had been employed by Howard Johnsons, Eaton Shoe and in 1973 started his own accounting firm, which he was still operating. He was a member of the Lions Club, enjoyed traveling and working.
He is survived by three sons, Raymond, L. III, Mark J. and John W. McCormack, three grandchildren Shannon M., Caitlin A. and Justin C. McCormack, three brothers, three sisters and his Fiance Betty Rivella.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 5-8pm with a prayer service at 7:30pm. Burial will be at a later date in Pine Hill Cemetery.
