
Worcester – Jeannette A. (Cusson) Lopes, 91, of Worcester and formerly of North Truro died on Sunday, September 11th in the Autumn Village Nursing Home after an illness.
Jeannette is predeceased by her husband, Antone Lopes; two sons, Ronald and Kenneth Lopes; two brothers, Norman, Leo and Richard Cusson and a sister Blanche Baird. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Albert and Blanche (Phenix) Cusson.
Mrs. Lopes is survived by 3 granddaughters and many nephews and nieces including Beverly Boza and her husband Thomas who were her primary caretakers for the past 2 years.
She worked in the family business at Babe’s Bakery in North Truro for many years and enjoyed various crafting projects, especially quilting and hook rugs. Jeannette was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church in Worcester and the Catholic Daughters of Cape Cod and is a graduate of the Worcester Girls Trade, David Hale Fanning High School.
A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, September 13th at 5:30 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with calling hours to follow until 7PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 15th at 10 AM in Saint Peter the Apostle Church 11 Prince Street Provincetown, MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Truro.
