Martha Elizabeth Yeattes Deaner, age 90, a resident of Riverside Health Care, died Monday, September 12, 2011 in the Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born September 10, 1921 in Rockingham County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lynn W. Yeattes and Lessie Mabel Austin Yeattes. Mrs. Deaner was a retired school teacher. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Deaner.
Survivors include one sister: Edna Frances Yeattes of Pelham, NC; one brother: James L. “Jack” Yeattes, also of Pelham, NC; a close friend: Arlene Rigney of Danville.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one daughter: Lynn Stegmer; one sister: Louise Yeattes Wesson; two brothers: Calvin C. Yeattes and Lynn W. Yeattes.
Graveside funeral services officiated by Rev. Lee Eggers will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Hickory Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Rockingham County.
