Haverhill, Ma – Louise D. (Dubois) Bergeron-Proulx, 96 died Saturday morning at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill. She was born in Berlin, NH March 20, 1915 the daughter of Joseph and Alice (Bouchard) Dubois. Louise resided in Methuen until moving to Haverhill Crossing Assisted Living in 2006.
Louise worked many years at AT&T and retired 30 years ago. She belonged to the Methuen Senior Center for 25 years and was part of the choral group and enjoyed playing cards, loved dancing and music. Foxwoods was a favorite place to be when possible. She had a natural talent in crocheting and created many beautiful things for family and friends.
Louise, for 5 years spent many happy, comfortable, days at Haverhill Crossing Assisted Living meeting with new friends and wonderful staff- enjoying the many activities offered to residence everyday.
The widow of Francis O. Proulx she is survived by son: Richard R. Bergeron, Sr. and his wife Marlene of Seabrook, NH, daughters Priscilla Selfridge of Billerica, Ma., Jean Martin and husband Tom of Saint Louis, Mo., Lorraine Bissonnette of Arzona, and Lucille Sidley and husband Walter of Salisbury, Ma. sisters; Germain Boucher of Gorham, NH, Veronica Cote of Greenfield, Ct, and Lorraine from Florida, 10 grandchildren Vicki, Susan, Rich Jr., Clay, Bracy, April, Michael, Danny, Heather and Timmy, 22 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Louise was predeceased by her granddaughter Melina and her son Francis Proulx Jr.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica’s Church with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
Friends will be warmly received on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
