A few days ago, Rhonda Harris, age 56, of 180 Lamberth Drive, Danville, VA, went to bed at her residence and went to sleep, only to wake up with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to suffer no more.
Rhonda was born in Danville on January 23, 1955, the daughter of Marie Harris and the late John Odom from South Carolina. She lived all but a few years of her life in Danville. She attended public schools and became a homemaker.
She was predeceased by one son, Larry Dale Harris, Jr., and one sister, Starr Thomas Harris from Houston Texas.
She is survived by her mother, Marie Harris; one son: Brent Harris and his wife Lisa of Ruffin, NC; two sisters: Donna Rose and her husband Berry, Treasure Pelz; one brother: Brian Harris and his wife Tina, all of Danville; three grandchildren: Chera Harris Zaher, Brenner Dale Paul Harris and Jayrin Dale Paul Harris; one great-grandddaughter: Anikah Zaher; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services officiated by Rev. Roger Ewing will be held Monday, September 12, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be private.
The family will be at the home of her sister, Donna Rose, 409 Iris Lane, Danville.
