Grace L. Fowler, 85, of Derry Road Chester, NH died Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at her home. Mrs. Fowler was born on September 17, 1916 in Albany, NY, a daughter of the late Harry B. and Ethel Lee. She was a resident of Lanesboro, MA for many years before moving to Hudson, NH and then Chester, NH in 1995. She had worked as a Welfare Agent for the Town of Lanesboro, MA for many years. Following that, she worked as a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Fowler Oil Co., Pittsfield, MA. Mrs. Fowler was the mother of Linda F. Dubois who died in 1995
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert A. Fowler, Chester, NH, one daughter, Lee F. Rhodes, Enfield, CT, six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and one brother, Donald A. Lee, Dalton, MA.
A calling hour will be held Saturday Feb. 16th from 9:30am – 10:30am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. Funeral services will follow at 10:30am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Lanesboro, MA, in the Spring.
