Elizabeth “Libby” Beame Lewis, age 53, died Sunday, September 4, 2011 at her residence.
Born February 6, 1958 in Danville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Lynn Beame and Pauline Horne Beame. She was a homemaker all her life. She married her husband, Larry Lewis, December 28, 1982 in York, South Carolina. She was a member of the Central Boulevard Church of God.
Survivors include her husband: Larry Lewis of the home; a daughter: Diane Jones Tu; son: Allen Jones; three step-children: Tina Wilkes, Tammy Walker, and Terri Brown; one sister; two brothers; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends at the home of her daughter, Diane, 329 Wilson Road, Danville, Virginia, 24541, from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2011.
