Obituary

SALEM - Esther (D’Entremont) Gardner, 97 of Salem, formerly of Peabody, wife of the late Marshall P. Gardner, died Friday evening, September 2, 2011 at the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home, Salem.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Wallace V. and Lena E. (Shaw) D’Entremont and was a graduate of Salem High School.

A resident of Peabody for over 65 years, she was a Worthy Matron and member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 98 of Salem, which later was merged into the Victory Chapter #157 of Marblehead. She was a member of over 70 years.

Mrs. Gardner is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Judson Greene of Middleton, two grandsons, Ian Greene and Colin Greene, both of Middleton, two sisters, Ruth L. Danjou of Winter Spring, FL, and Marion and her husband Raymond Hodge of Peabody and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 10 am at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm with a 7 pm service by the Order of Eastern Star. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial is in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
