Mrs. Adliner Taylor Gaston, age 90, widow of the late Harry Gaston, Sr. of Rural-Hall, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on September 17, 1920 in Surry County to the late Jack and Georgia Taylor. Mrs. Gaston was a homemaker and a member of Simmons Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Gaston is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Gaston, of Rural Hall, Virginia Gaston, of Stanleyville; one grandson, Dedrick Gaston, of Rural Hall; two loving and devoted nieces, Ruth King, Sarah Bell Gentry; devoted Godson, and caretaker, Gerald Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Mrs. Gaston was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sons, Harry Gaston, Jr., Chauncey Gaston; three brothers, Early, Willie, and Roby Taylor; and three sisters, Pearlie Taylor Smith, Mary Ellen Taylor King, and Lucy Taylor Sheff. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Simmons Chapel Primitive Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. with Elder Carl Morgan and Elder Robert Brady officiating. Interment will follow at Lovell’s Chapel United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
