Obituary

Denvil Elmo Harris, 77, of Clarksville, TN died Saturday September 3, 2011 at Veterans Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born April 3, 1934 in Elliott County, Kentucky, son of the late Shirlie Wallace Harris and Mima Jane Pennington Harris.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. He had been a Bishop in the church in Mansfiel, Ohio. He was a member of the Stake High Council in Kentucy and Tennessee for twenty years.
Denvil was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict and he also was a general manager for the Motel 6 Corporation.
Services will be held on Tuesday September 6, 2011 at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints at 11 a.m. with Bishop Donald Moore officiating.
Visitation will be Monday from 1 to 4 PM at the funeral home and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church.
Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery - West with military honors.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice Black Harris; four daughters, Rebecca Aldridge (David), Clarksville; Robin Calvert (Jerry), Tampa, FL; Lori Pennell (Michael) Bahamas; and Colleen Harris, Clarksville; three sisters, Elaine Brown, Bonnie Knepper, and Charlotte Thompson, all of Mansfield, OH; fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be J.B. Aldridge, Jesse Aldridge, Jeremy Calvert, Jason Calvert, Brandon Calvert, and Cade Pennell.
