TEWKSBURY: Michael Stephen Cipoletta, age 48, a resident of Tewksbury for the past 8 years, died Friday, February 20, 2004 at the New England Medical Center in Boston.
He was born in Boston on March 5, 1955 the son of Nicholas W. and Florence M. (Crichton) Cipoletta of Medway.
Mr. Cipoletta was raised in Medway.
He attended Medway schools and graduated from Medway High School in 1974. He later attended Massachusetts Bay Community College and Newbury College. Mr. Cipoletta graduted from El Paso Community College in Colorado Springs, where he received his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts.
He was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged on February 2, 1979 with the rank of SP-4.
Mr. Cipoletta was currently employed as executive chef at the Oblate Father’s Infirmary in Tewksbury. He previously worked as the executive chef at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by 2 sisters; Patricia A. Cipoletta of Maynard and Susan A. Barnes and her husband Gerard of Hawley, PA; 1 brother; Charles D. Cipoletta and his wife Debbie (Chase) of Framingham; 2 nieces; Jessica N. and Meggan M. Barnes both of Hawley, PA; 1 nephew; Nicholas G. Barnes of Hawley, PA.
Calling hours Sunday 2-6 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Oblate Novitiate Chapel, 486 Chandler St., Tewksbury. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Oblate Infirmary, 486 Chandler St., Tewksbury, MA 01876 would be appreciated.
