Janice K (Samia) Habib, 75, passed away Friday morning, September 2nd at the Wingate at Andover Healthcare Center. She was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of Mary and Elias Samia. She was a member of the Lawrence High School 1954 graduating class.
Janice was a loving wife, dedicated mother and grandmother, and was a wonderful friend to countless people throughout the Merrimack Valley and New Hampshire. Wherever Janice went, smiles and laughter followed.
Janice is survived by her cherished husband of 53 years, Joseph Habib, of Salem, NH; her son, Jonathan and his wife, Paula; her beloved grandsons Nicholas and Lucas; her sister Agnes Samia; and many nieces and nephews She was predeceased by her son, Christopher Habib; her brothers George Samia, Dr. Edward Samia, and Norman Samia; and her sisters, Betty Casale, Evelyn Cocchi, Yvonne Chambers, and Sally Samia.
On Janice's behalf, her husband and son would like to extend their warmest thanks to her loving friends and family, and the staff at each of the following healthcare facilities: The Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Wingate at Andover, and the Holy Family Hospital.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, September 6th from 10:30AM-12 Noon, at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Road, Salem, NH. A funeral Mass will follow at 12 Noon. Cremation will follow.
