Obituary

John Malish, 92 of Louisville passed away August 31, 2011 at Christopher East Nursing Home.

He was born in New Alexandria, PA.

He was a retired Master Sergeant, tank commander, platoon leader and tank instructor for the U.S. Army during World War II,

he later retired from the army after 26 years. He was also a seasonal worker at the Corp of Enginner’s for 21 years in Rough River.

And Life Member of the VFW Post 3852 and a Christian by Faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Almedia Malish.

He is survived by his son, John F. Malish (Myra M.), daughter Joann Paxson (Neil B.), grandchildren, Luke J, Deborah E, Paula K, Ellen M, seven great-grandchildren, brothers, Paul, Bill and sisters, Stella, Sophie and Ethel.

Funeral service will be held 2 pm, Sunday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd. Visitation 1-8 pm, Saturday.
Burial Resthaven Cemetery 11 am, Tuesday, September 6, 2011
