METHUEN – Dorothy A. (Valentine) Desjardins 83 of Methuen, MA died peacefully on Tuesday August 30, 2011 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, MA.
Born and educated in Andover, MA she was the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Sullivan) Valentine and was a graduate of the Punchard High School. For many years she worked at Alps Sports in Lawrence, MA retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Lawrence Elks. She ejoyed needle point and knitting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She leaves her husband of 63 years Raymond J. Desjardins of Methuen, MA. Children Charles L. Desjardins and his wife Deborah of Little Rock, AR, Carol L. Fraize of Methuen, MA, Susan A. Cebula and her husband Gary of Lawrence, MA and Joyce A. Morin and her husband Joseph of Methuen, MA.
One sister and one brother Katherine Tascher and her husband Maynard of Lacrosse, WI and William Valentine of Andover, MA
Seven grandchildren twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
