Obituary

METHUEN – William J. Brouder 67 of Methuen longtime Lawrence School Teacher and Lawrence High School Girl’s Volleyball Coach died Tuesday August 30, 2011 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
Born in Lawrence, MA, son of the late William J. and Mary A. (Lynch) Brouder, he attended Lawrence Grammar Schools, was a graduate of Central Catholic High School with the Class of 1961 and received his Bachelors Degree in education from Salem State College.
For more than 30 years Bill was a school teacher in the Lawrence Public Schools System and for 27 years he was the head coach for the Lawrence High School Girl’s Volleyball team where they earned several local championships. In 2005 as assistant coach for the boy’s volleyball team he took them to a state championship. Bill was also inducted to the coaches Hall of Fame. He leaves many friends, students and athletes who’s lives and hearts he touched and there were many.
He leaves his sister Dorothy M. Kozak and her husband Kenneth of Arlington, MA he also leaves a niece and nephew Kimberly J. Kozak of Methuen and Kevin V. Kozak of Schenectady, NY.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Friday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00a.m. in St. Monica’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
