Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Rose A. Parisi, 83, of Sheedy Park, died Tuesday morning in the Addison Gilbert Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Thomas Parisi, who died in January of 2007. They had shared sixty years of marriage.
Born in Gloucester on January 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Maria (LoPiccolo) Parisi. She was a lifelong resident and graduate of the Gloucester High School.
A devoted homemaker, she was a wonderful cook and dedicated her life to her family and faith. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by two daughters, Marie Ruth and Cheryl Brooks, three grandchildren, Michelle, wife of Joseph Sanfilippo, Corey, husband of Lyndsey Brooks, and Lindsay Rose Brooks; a great-granddaughter, Alexandra Legendre, great-grandson, James Sanfilippo; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Grace Parisi and Josephine “Fini” and Thomas Linquata and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Nicholas T. Parisi; sons-in-law, Sherman B. Ruth and Gary E. Brooks, and four sisters and brothers-in-law, Pearl and Mario Salafia, Helen and Salvatore Loiacano, Jennie and Rico Strescino, Mary and Capt. Dominic Vadala.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday morning in the Calvary Cemetery at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. Please omit flowers.
