Richard R. "Moose" Couture 49, of Vose St., died Tuesday at Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the son of Doris I. (Laplante) Couture and the late Joseph A. Couture. Moose was a carpet installer for the former Donjo Carpet Studio for over fifteen years and Interior Creations for many years. He was a member of the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks # 850 and voted Elk of the Year 2007-2008, he was also a member of St. Joseph Veteran Association, the Garlic Connection, and the FOPA. He was an avid card player and belonged to several Pitch and Cribbage Leagues.
Besides his mother he is survived by a brother Joseph and four sisters Suzanne, Rachel, Jacqueline, and Evelyn and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Michael Couture
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Church, South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-8 PM.
