Eunice (Leeming) Sullivan, 85, of Westport, formerly of Portsmouth, RI, died on Sunday, August 28, 2011 as Hurricane Irene approached the Southcoast. She was the daughter of the late John and Irene (Elie) Leeming, and the former wife of Edward A. Sullivan, Sr., of Port Charlotte, FL.
Eunice had worked for the Portsmouth School Department as an Administrative Assistant for the Superintendent. She was formerly an active member of the Portsmouth Gardening Club. Eunice was an outdoorswoman who enjoyed boating, birding, and gardening, and more than anything, Eunice enjoyed spending time with her family and loved ones.
Survivors include a daughter; Kathleen LaBrie and her husband Mark of Middleboro, MA.; Three sons; Edward A. Sullivan and his fiancée Katherine Jacobs of Westport, MA; Attorney Brian J. Sullivan and his wife Marianne of Westport, MA; and Mark Sullivan and his partner Scott Roberts of Providence, RI.; Four grandchildren; Kara and Colin LaBrie, and Jeffrey and Kate Sullivan; A sister, Eleanor Boyd and her husband Tom of Lajolla, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, 945 Main Road, Westport, on September 2, 2011 at 10AM.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
