Obituary


Rose Ann (DiRuscio) Stone, a generous gifted “ Caregiver “ and avid Boston Red Sox fan of Stoughton, formerly of Brookline and Dorchester, passed away at home with her daughters by her side on Sunday August 28, 2011. She was 83 years old and the beloved wife of over 40 years to the late Ralph N. Stone. She was the loving mother of Linda C. Mason of North Attleboro, Debra A. Silva and her husband William of Stoughton and Paula L. Stone of Providence, Rhode Island. She was the dear sister of Connie Sette of Canton, Agnes McClean of Harwich, Dominic DiRuscio of Plano, Texas, John DiRuscio of Natick and the late Mary Goldblatt, Rita Guinta, Celia Shifres and Madeline Del Greco. She was the cherished “MUMS” of Kerri A. Donnelly, Brandi A. Peters, Michael S. Conforti, Kelly M. Trottier, David J. Conforti and Erica R. Conforti. She is also survived by her 12 great - grandchildren.

Born March 24, 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts, she was a daughter to the late Frank and Anna ( Ambrozzini) DiRuscio. Her family was her number one priorty in life. She attended Boston Public Schools. Rose was employed for over 22 years as a florist by Winston Flowers in Wellesley. She will be sadly missed by her co - workers, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Mrs. Stone was also employed as a Restaurant Manager at the former Cape Cod Restaurant in the Chesnut Hill Mall. Her hobbies included watching horror movies with family and friends, listening to Frank Sinatra music, dancing to the “ Jitterbug” and taking many roadtrips to Foxwoods.

Her graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday September 1, 2011 at 11:30 A.M. in Knollwood Memorial Park, 321 High Street, Canton, MA. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose’s memory can be made to The American Lung Association of Massachusetts, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program – F, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 – 1905.
