Rose Colucci 96 of Provincetown died August 27, 2011 at Seashore Point in Provincetown. Born in Hoboken, NJ she was the daughter of the late Felice and Concetta (Poellante) Napolitano. She was the wife of the late Joseph Colucci who died in 1972. In 1972, upon the death of her husband, Mrs. Colucci went to work for the first time in her life to pay for her daughter's education. When her daughter graduated in 1976, she retired from her job as a cafeteria worker for the Board of Education in Flushing, NY. In 2008 she moved from her home in Queens, NY to Provincetown to live with her daughter Joanne Colucci and her spouse Marilyn Lober Colucci. She is also survived by her two sons, John of Toms River, NJ and Robert of Mineola, Long Island, NY, her stepson Joseph Colucci of Virginia. She was also the stepmother of the late Buddy Colucci, She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mary Manganiello, Nick Napolitano, Tom Napolitano and Anna Napolitano.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Peter the Apostle Church Provincetown on Tuesday August 30, 2011 at 9:00am followed by burial in St. Peter Cemetery. Visiting hours were Monday from 6:00-8:00pm at the Gately-McHoul Funeral Home Provincetown.
