Methuen, Ma. – Jean Louis Daigle, 89, died Monday August 29, 2011 at the Holy Family Hospital.
Born in Fort Kent, Maine he was the son of Ernest and Marie (Ruest) Daigle. Jean began his career working first as a sheet metal worker, and then for 27 years with the Raytheon Co. in Andover. Mr. Daigle had formerly resided on Piedmont Street in Methuen before moving years ago.
Prior to its closing Jean was a former communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Methuen. During World War ll he served his country in the U.S. Army before his honorable discharge at war’s end.
He was the widower of Juliette (Paradis) Daigle.
Survivors include one daughter and her husband Marilyn N. and her husband Roland Thibault of Methuen, 4 sons Gerard A. and his wife Janice Daigle Derry, NH, Jean Louis Daigle, Jr. and his wife Carol of Nashua, NH, Dennis L.C. and wife Debra Daigle of Lawrenceville, GA. And Paul R.A. Daigle of Strafford, NH, one brother Leonard Daigle of Methuen 14 grandchildren, 23 greatgrandchildren, 3 greatgreatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monicas Church in Methuen.
Friends will be warmly received on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
