GRACE M. (FERRARA) RIZZOTTO, age 93, A Hingham resident since 1939, died on Thursday, Feb. 19th at the Northeast Specialty Hospital in Braintree. Born in New York City, she lived in Roslindale for 20 years before coming to Hingham. Mrs. Rizzotto was one of the first School Crossing Guards of the Hingham Police Department, serving from 1956-1967.She was a member of the Church of St. John the Evangelist and St. John's Guild in Hingham, was a past president of the Hingham Women's Club, a member of the Hingham Sons of Italy and was very active with the Hingham Senior Center.Wife of the late Samuel Rizzotto, Jr., she leaves her 3 children; Grace M. Griffiths and Charles W. Rizzotto both of Hingham and Carol A. Lefeber of Bridgewater. Also survived by her brother, John C. Ferrara of Alexandria, VA, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.Funeral Services Monday, Feb. 23rd at 11 AM at the Church of St. John the Evangelist,172 Main St., Hingham, MA 02043Friends may visit at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham on Sunday afternoon from 2-5 PM.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Hingham Senior Center,224 Central St., Hingham, MA 02043 or to the Church of St. John the Evangelist.The interment is to be private.
