Roland G. Lambert, 71, of Fitzgerald died Sunday, August 28, 2011, in Ashburn.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 31 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Lambert was born February 19, 1940 in Cherokee County, Alabama to the late Andrew Jackson and Roxie Ann Popham Lambert. He lived in Fitzgerald for the past forty-five years from Centre, AL. Mr. Lambert was a logger and attended Faith Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Glen & Dana Lambert of Fitzgerald; daughters and sons-in-law: Betty & Andrew Aultman of Blackshear, Melissa & Ernest Harper of Fitzgerald and Sherry & Daryle White of La Grange; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; brother: James Lambert of Centre, AL and a sister and brother-in-law: Betty & James Well of Centre, AL as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Fitzgerald Lambert and seven brothers.
