Max E. Branch, 60, of Fitzgerald died Sunday, August 28, 2011, at his residence.
A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery at 10 AM on Wednesday, August 31. Eulogies will be given by Sammy Smith and Elmer Roberson. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Branch was born January 18, 1951 in Ben Hill County to Katy Ruth Kimball Branch and the late Paul. S. Branch, Jr. He was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School and attended Ben Hill Irwin Technical College. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at Southern Roasted Nuts. Mr. Branch also was a farmer and former employee of CSX Railroad and Elixir Industries.
Mr. Branch is survived by his wife, Sheila Parrish Branch of Fitzgerald; Sons: Brian (Sharie) Branch of Crestview, FL and Andy (Sherri) Branch of Fitzgerald; mother: Katy Ruth Kimball Branch of Fitzgerald; Favorite Sister: Peggy Branch (Bill) Hornback of Tifton; brother: Ronny (Karen) Branch of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Briana Branch, Hunter Branch, Erica Branch, Braxton Branch and Emilly Ammons; great grandchild: Bentley Branch, and several nieces and nephews.
