Gareth T. "Gary" Stack

LOWELL- Gareth T. "Gary" Stack, age 73, died Friday, August 26, at home in Lowell, surrounded by family, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (O'Neill) Stack, with whom he was to celebrate his fiftieth wedding anniversary in December of 2011.
He was born April 16, 1938, in Lowell, a son of the late Edward T. and Imelda (Carney) Stack. He was a lifetime resident of Lowell. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a retired traffic manager for Vertipile, Inc. of Lowell/Leominster. He also retired from the Tewksbury Hospital where he had worked as an Orderly. He was a member of the US Bunting and Cricket Club of Lowell and the Lowell Senior Center.
Besides his wife Barbara Stack, he is survived by a son; Gary M. Stack of Lowell, three "loves of his life" grandchildren; Arianna Stack, Grady Stack and Erin Stack all of Lowell, a sister-in-law; Judith Stack of Dracut, a daughter-in-law; Beth Stack of Lowell, a niece; Susan (Stack) Breen of Hudson, NH, a nephew; Shaun Stack of FL. He was also the brother-in-law of; John and Teresa O'Neill, Richard and Carol O'Neill, Stephan and Sharon (O'Neill) Zaremba, William and Elizabeth "Betty Lou" (O'Neill) Johnson, Patricia (O'Neill) Stotik all of Tewksbury.
He was the brother of the late, Edward "Jackie" Stack.
