Margaret Genaro (nee Hermes) age 77, died peacefully on Thursday, August 25 with her immediate family at her bedside. Margaret was a beautiful, loving, caring woman whose concern for the happiness and well being of family and friends never ceased.
Margaret was a New Jersey resident all her life. Among many interests, she especially enjoyed reading, theater and travel here and abroad. A 1954 graduate of NJ State Teachers College, she taught grammar school in Fort Lee until the first born of her two daughters in 1960.
Married to Donald Genaro in1956, they resided in Fort Lee until moving into the Haworth home they designed and built in 1965. A winter home in Naples, FL followed years later where she enjoyed frequent visits from her daughters Susan and Karen and her grandson, Cian Crameri.
Beside her immediate family, Margaret is survived by a sister, Hedy Misch of Redding, CA and numerous other loving relatives and friends. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 32 Pascack Road, Woodcliff Lake, NJ on Saturday, September 24th at 2 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
