WAYLAND/AMHERST: Sara A. “Sally” (Fitzpatrick) Haynes of Amherst died peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Residence in Wayland.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 28, 1930 the daughter of the late Philip Wright Fitzpatrick and Kathleen (Skinner) Fitzpatrick.
Sally is survived by her sister Charlotte Fitzpatrick Brown of Falmouth, Maine. She is also survived by 4 nieces and 6 nephews.
She has been a resident of Amherst for the past 7 years and recently of Wayland.
She was a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and had a career as a teacher before retiring.
At the request of her family a Memorial Service for Sally will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial gifts in her memory may be sent to the Wayside Hospice, 266 Cochituate Rd, Wayland. MA 01778.
