Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church W. Bridgewater at 10 AM. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM.
Mrs. Sweeney died Tuesday afternoon at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton after a brief illness.She was born in West Bridgewater, daughter of the late Thomas F. and Mary I. (Keizer) Guinea and resided there until her marriage when she moved to Brockton with her husband. They then returned to West Bridgewater in 1980 and for the past 7 years she has been a resident of the Blue Hills Alzheimer Care Center in Stoughton.
Mary was a graduate of the former Howard High School in West Bridgewater.Until her retirement she had been employed as a secretary/bookkeeper by Roy Franzen, Sr. proprietor of the former Franklin Pharmacy in Brockton.She had been a member of the Senior Citizens Bowling League of Maple Alleys in Brockton and a longtime communicant of St. Ann Church West Bridgewater.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, a grandson, a granddaughterand a great grandson. Also nieces and nephewsShe was the sister of the late Thomas F. Guinea and Alice M. Guinea
