Anne S. (Gartley) Condon, 87 died August 22, 2011 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital surrounded by her loving children.
Anne was born October 13, 1923 in Watson Settlement Woodstock, Canada the daughter of Guy and Emily (Simpson) Gartley.
A graduate of the Bruce grammar, and Lawrence High School Anne worked for JM Condon milk transportation as a bookkeeper and also helped her daughter at Paris Auto Repair in Salem, New Hampshire doing bookkeeping.
Mrs. Condon was a longtime member of Grace Episcopal Church in Lawrence and a girl scout den mother who was a very good cook.
The widow of John Condon, Anne is survived by her children J. Ronald Condon and his wife Linda Smerdon Condon of Methuen, Joanne Paris-Wildes and her husband Stan Wildes of Atkinson, NH, Robert E. Condon and his wife Janet Girard of Methuen, a sister F. Leona Sestini of Methuen, brother-in-law Edward A and his wife Irene Condon of Methuen, a sister-in-law Mildred Marquis and husband Emile also of Methuen, sister-in-law Cecelia McGuire of Windham, NH, 6 grandchildren; Jay,Emmy, Darryl, Jaime, Lindsey, and Brittni, 9 greatgrandchildren 6 nephews and 2 nieces.
Funeral Services will take place on Friday morning at 10 o’clock from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends will be warmly received on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
