NORTHBRIDGE-Eileen E. Dowd, formerly of Plantation Street, Worcester died Sunday, January 11th in Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northbridge. She leaves several nephews and nieces. She was pre-deceased by four brothers, William T, Timothy, Joseph and Francis Dowd, and her sister Mary Dowd.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Timothy and Catherine (Sullivan) Dowd. Miss Dowd had worked for the Worcester School Department retiring as a chief administration clerk. She had been a former member of St. James Parish and its Women’s Club; and had served as secretary/treasurer of the St.Vincent DePaul Society.
The funeral is Saturday, February 28th with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. James Church, 89 Main Street, South Grafton. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
