Nancy M. (Ruggiero) Penza, 97, of Walpole died August 16 in Norwood Hospital. She was the wife of the late Carmen “Mellie” Penza.
Born in Somerville, July 6, 1914, the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmina (Molina) Ruggiero, Mrs. Penza was raised in Norwood and had lived in Walpole since 1939.
A homemaker, Mrs. Penza had been a member of the Catholic Women’s Club and enjoyed bowling, walking, playing whist and above all being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy A. Penza of Norwell, Gail E. Hulse of South Dennis and Joan M. Levangie of Boston.
She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 19 in St. Timothy’s Church in Norwood at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in South Walpole.
Visitation will be on Friday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole.
