Alice G. “Maggie” (Ferris) Magrini, RN, 85, passed away on August 12, 2011 at the Kathleen Daniels Nursing Home in Framingham. She was 85 years old.
Born in Framingham, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Alice A. (Thompson) Ferris, Alice was raised in Hopkinton and graduated from Hopkinton High School. While in high school she loved basketball and enjoyed musical and archery interests. She went on to graduate from the Framingham Union Hospital School of Nursing program and for nearly 50 years cared and served as a Registered Nurse. Additionally, she served as a Red Cross Nurse during WWII.
Her parents, her husband, Ernest Magrini, her sister Ruth, and her brother James Lynn preceded Alice in death. In 1980, Alice’s 4th son, John Francis Magrini, also preceded her passing.
She is survived by her children, William Magrini of Fayetteville, N.C., Joel Magrini of East Sandwich, Thomas Magrini of Upton, Jean Magrini of Marlborough, Alice Livernoise of Charlton, and Katherine Hayes of Southbridge; her brother Robert Ferris and sister Barbara Baird both of CA; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Her brother-in-law Dominic Magrini and his wife Grace Stucci Magrini of Framingham & many nieces & nephews also survive her.
It was Alice’s wish to be cremated and allow family members to pray and remember her in their own manner. Her motherly wishes will be honored and her family will remain lovingly grateful to her memory.
