MANCHESTER– Claire M. Sylvia, 72, died August 13, 2011 at the Concord Regional VNA Hospice House after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on February 10, 1939 the daughter of Isaie and Emelia (Routhier) Fournier and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
She was educated in the Manchester School System. Prior to her retirement she had been employed by Catholic Medical Center and worked in the cafeteria. She enjoyed praying at the Sisters of the Precious Blood Monastery Chapel.
Members of her family include her daughter Debra Poulicakos and her husband Matthew of Manchester, two grandchildren, Breauna and Falyn Poulicakos, her longtime companion Raymond Shreenan of Manchester, one brother Roger Fournier of Manchester, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother Albert Fournier and two sisters, Jeannette Szumiesz and Rita Lavigne.
Upon her requests the are no calling hours or services. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
