WEBSTER – Julia T. (Krawczyk) Domurad, 88, of Christopher Heights, died Sunday, August 14, 2011 in Radius Healthcare, Southbridge. Her husband of 43 years, Bernard C. Domurad, died in 1990.
She leaves a daughter, Beverly Scanlon of Webster; 2 grandsons, Bryan Scanlon of Walnut Creek, CA and David Scanlon of Dennis, MA; 2 great grandchildren, Molly Taylor Scanlon and Samantha Elizabeth Scanlon; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
She was born in Webster, the youngest child of William and Stasia (Paholski) Krawczyk and was a lifelong resident. She attended Bartlett High School.
Mrs. Domurad was a weaver at Fabyan Woolen in Fabyan, CT for 30 years. She then worked in the laundry room at Notre Dame Long Term Care in Worcester for 8 years, retiring in 1985.
She was a communicant of Saint Joseph Basilica, and a member of its Holy Rosary Sodality, Sacred Heart Society and Saint Anne Society. She was a member and past president of the Polish American Veterans Auxiliary, and also served as its corresponding secretary for 5 years.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, August 17, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. A calling hours will be from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Wednesday prior to the Mass. Donations in her name may be made to the Friends of Saint Joseph School Fund, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570.
