Obituary

Michael F. Deptula 69 of 130 Chestnut St., and a former longtime Norfolk resident, died Saturday August 13, 2011 at the Franklin Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, following a long period of declining health. He was the former husband of Alice (Casper) Deptula.
Born in Norfolk, May 3, 1942 a son of the late Peter A. and Elizabeth T. (Slauzis) Deptula, he was raised and educated in Norfolk, and is a graduate of King Philip High School.
Mr. Deptula was a retired brick layer, and had formerly owned and operated the former Franklin Town Taxi on Main St. in Franklin.
He enjoyed playing pitch, was an avid card player and loved to read.
He is survived by 2 sons: Michael Deptula of Florida, and Marc Deptula of Woonsocket. 3 sisters Rosemary Brite of Woonsocket, Helen Correia of Farmington, New Hampshire and Elizabeth Toothaker of Norfolk. He is also survived by a granddaughter.


He is also the brother of the late Peter D. Deptula.
A celebration in honor of his life will be held on Sunday August 21, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the home of his sister Elizabeth, 28 Needham St. Norfolk. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Private interment will take place at Union Street Cemetery in Franklin at a later date.
