Paul C. Messier, 74, of Londonderry, NH, died Friday, August 12, 2011 in his home. He was born in Bedford, NH on March 17, 1937, a son of the late Albert and Marie (Jutras) Messier, and had been a resident of Londonderry for over 70 years. Mr. Messier had been a member of the Air National Guard. He was employed for several area shoe shops, Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH, and retired from the Londonderry School District in the food service. Mr. Messier was an active communicant of St. Jude Parish in Londonderry, where he had served as an usher, and had been involved in Church renovations over the years. He was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6949. Mr. Messier was a member of the Time Travelers Car Club, and was an avid NASCAR fan and collector of memorabilia.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Messier of Londonderry, four daughters, Michelle Foresteire of Londonderry, Tina Janelle of Weare, Lisa Messier and Marie Neveu, both of Londonderry; one son, Gene Messier of New Providence, PA; 16 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; as well as his brother, Andrew Messier of Pittsfield, NH.
Calling hours were held on Monday, August 15th from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Following cremation, burial was in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Parish Building Fund, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH 03053, or to Amedisys Hospice, 1E Commons Dr., Unit #33, Londonderry, NH 03053.
