Ronald C. Powell, age 89, Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Shady Acres Convalescent Home following an extended illness. Mr. Powell was born in England to the late Harold Ronald and Mae Powell. He was a pilot in the Royal Air Force in England during World War II. Mr. Powell was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and he was plant manager at Fleetwood Mobile Home.
Survivors include: wife: Nora Powell, Douglas, GA; daughter: Yvonne “Bonnie” Taylor, Douglas, GA; son: Geoffrey Powell, Charleston, SC; sisters: Eileen Page, Oxford, England, Margaret Powell, Johannesburg, South Africa and Jean Freeman, Wivelsfield-Green, England; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
