Beloved mother and friend, Margie L. Bali, 85, Louisville, KY, passed peacefully into eternity July 30, 2011 at her daughter’s home in St. Joseph, MO.
She was born January 26, 1926 to Jesse and Theresa (Williams) Powell in Lexington, KY. Her parents precede her in death. As a young girl, she found much joy in skating, dancing and spending time with her beloved family. She was a member of Broadway Christian Church.
Margie married Erno (Ernie) Bali in December 1959; they were married for over 42 years when Ernie died in May 2002. He was an honorable man, loving her and her three children dearly.
She was a reservation clerk for Sheraton Hotel, retiring mid 1960 due to her health. Margie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, dancing, trips to Tunica, and as she would say, “just putt seeing.”
Margie was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Joshua Poynter and Robbie Burton.
Survivors: son, James E. Eatmon (Cheryl) of Louisville; daughters, Theresa Michelle Hume of Louisville, and Vickie S. Snider (Craig) of St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren, Kristi Dale, Derek Eatmon, Holly Eatmon, Aaron Snider (Sara), Summer Sherroan, and Brandon Snider (Miranda); eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; beloved friends (especially the Bunco girls) and her sister at heart Catherine Duncan.
Services: A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Owens Funeral Home, Dixie Highway. Margie’s family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens, Mount Washington, KY.
