DUDLEY – Nancy C. (Carroll) Simpson, 79, died Sunday, August 7, 2011 in Kindred Hospital, Leicester.
She leaves her husband of 53 years, Roger W. Simpson; a son, Rick Simpson of Quinebaug, CT; a daughter, Diane G. Simpson of Dudley; a sister, Mary Pieper of Webster; 3 grandchildren, Shayne, Asia and Maria Simpson; a great granddaughter Elexis; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother William B. Carroll, Jr.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of William B. Carroll, Sr. and Midian (Duby) Carroll. She lived in Dudley most of her life. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1951.
Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker. She was a communicant of Saint Stephen’s Church in Quinebaug, CT. At one time, she taught Christian Doctrine and then was a Eucharistic Minister. Her family was the center of her life.
The funeral will be held Saturday, August 13, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Stephen’s Church, corner of Rts. 131 & 197, Quinebaug, CT. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Friday, August 12, in the funeral home.
