Mary G. Picariello, 92 of Somerville, died Monday after brief illness in the Cambridge Hospital, Cambridge, MA.
Born in Boston’s North End, she lived in Somerville for the past 60 years and formerly of Medford. Mary was the daughter of the late Providenza (Miraglia) and Vincenzo Ippolito.
She was a Frame Assembler at the former MW Carr Co. in Somerville for 10 years and retired in 1985. Mary was a member of the Somerville Council on Aging and was an active parishioner at St. John the Evangelist in Cambridge.
Beloved wife of the late John Picariello. Devoted mother of John and his wife Maureen of Winchester, Paul of Arlington, and Mary Ann of Somerville. Loving grandmother of Kristen, Brian and Melissa. Loving great grandmother of Ariana. Dear sister of Margaret Giordano of Medford, Joseph Ippolito of Hyannis, Connie Leccese of Burlington, VT and the late Michael, Alfonso and Anthony Ippolito. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church, 2270 Mass Ave., Cambridge, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 5 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
