Louise M. (Kent) Wood, 92, of Westport died Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was wife of the late Milton B. Wood.
A lifelong resident of Westport, she was daughter of the late George E. and Marcia B. (Orcutt) Kent. Mrs. Wood was a member of the Bliss Four Corners Church, Tiverton and the Cortez Allen Chapter 161 O.E.S. of Westport. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and word puzzles.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Joanne W. Allen and her husband Mark of Westport, Marcia W. Liggin and her husband Thomas of Westport and Mary W. McCarthy and her husband Michael, Jr. of Westport; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late George F. Kent, Malcolm E. Kent, Porter O. Kent and Frederick E. Kent.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, August 12, 2011 at the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Rd., Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 -7 P.M. with an Eastern Star service under the direction of Cortez Allen Chapter 161 O.E.S. of Westport at 6 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
