Elaine W. Sullivan, 51, of East Bridgewater passed away on August 6, 2011 after a four year battle with breast cancer.
She was born on October 15, 1959 in South Weymouth. She was the daughter of Phyllis (Lyden) Hartry and the late John T. Hartry of Elmwood, MA, sister of Mark P. Hartry of Brunswick, GA., and Paul A. Hartry of Elmwood.
She was married to Kevin E. Sullivan of East Bridgewater, MA for 28 years.
Elaine was a manager at GROW Associates in Avon, MA and dedicated her life to bettering the lives of adults with disabilities.
Elaine enjoyed motorcycle rides, vacationing on the coast of Maine, arts and crafts, and most of all spending time with her family. Elaine was actively involved in fundraising efforts for her team B.C. Angels to benefit the Susan G. Komen 3-day for the cure; raising over $18,000 in the past 4 years.
Elaine is survived by her husband Kevin, her daughter, Sarah E. (Sullivan) and husband, Andy Thompson of East Bridgewater, son, Andrew R. Sullivan of Arlington, MA, and daughter, Jennifer L. Sullivan of Brockton, MA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Abigail, Anthony, Meaghan and Jenevaeh along with several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday August 11 at 11 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday August 10 from 4-8 PM.
